This is a fantastic opportunity to drive a digger to see if you can get to grips with some very different controls! You'll be set a task, perhaps building a new 4x4 hazard or levelling a road for example, and then see how you fare as a digger driver. It's not quite as easy as it looks! This is surprising fun, and very rewarding too. You may also get to drive a tractor and dump trailer too where you can learn about manoeuvring and reversing with a trailer.
Your experience will begin with a safety briefing, a talk about what will happen during your session and a discussion about how to use the digger. Then the group will be taken out to the digger and take turns in having a go. When you are at the controls you will be given tasks to complete and an instructor will be at your side to guide you. You will be given a certificate on completion of this experience and your instructor will give you feedback on how well you did.

This experience is available Monday to Saturday, throughout the year.
How long does this activity last?
This experience will last approximately 2½ hours.
You need to know
The minimum age is 17 years old.
The minimum height for this activity is 1.57m (5ft 2in) and the maximum height is 1.93m (6ft 4in). The maximum weight is 114kg (18 stone). Driving on rough terrain may not be suitable for those with heart, back or neck conditions, nor if you are pregnant.
A full valid UK or European driving licence will need to be brought and shown on the day.
