Westfield Sportscars are one of the the UK's leading hand built sports car manufacturers that is still British owned. Their cars may not be as well known as Aston Martin or Ferrari but they more than make up for it with raw, rubber burning power. They are the classic British sportscar: front engined, rear-wheel drive, lightweight and fast. If you thought that the British motor industry was dead, you're wrong, there are still pieces of magnificence left. But it's not just about driving these cars, you'll be learning how to handle these cars on the limit with tyre smoking donuts and power sliding drift burns. This experience will certainly give you a thrill.

This experience will begin with a welcome, safety briefing on driving techniques and you'll be introduced to the instructors. Next there will be a short demonstration on what you will be learning during your experience. Then it is onto the driving. You will begin with the 'Intro taster'. This will be an intro taster that will allow you to learn control of the vehicle, spin, understand the counter steering and feel the raw power of the car. Next is 'Autotesting'. During this you will utilise what you have learnt and you'll be reaching much higher speeds, meaning it requires deep concentration. You will navigate through donuts, tight corners and shorter swept corners and it is all timed which counts towards the team prizes. After this there will be a break for a buffet lunch and then it's straight back to the action! Drifting comes next. Drifting is the ultimate in sideways action and there will be a lot of tyre squealing and smoke as you control the car around a figure of eight. This is a tricky skill as it requires minute steering and throttle inputs but once you've got the hang of it, it's brilliant! To end the day you will be shown how the professionals do it. Experience the awesome power of the Westfield as the car will launch you round the fast track in seconds, drifting where possible at 100mph. You will certainly be smiling when you get out of the car! This is followed by a debrief and prize giving to the fastest drivers.

This experience is available on selected dates, throughout the year.

This experience will last a full day.

The minimum age is 17 years.
These experience days are not usually suitable for persons with certain physical disabilities due to the style of the car and nature of the event but it can be assessed on an individual basis. There is a max height of 6ft5 and a max weight of 20 stone.
You must have a valid Full Driving Licence to participate on the day and you must bring both parts with you.

This is for a voucher entitling the holder to any of the activities supplied by Activity Superstore up to the value stated.

There will be other people there on the day.

Your welcome to bring spectators, however they must be 16 years or older.
