Learning to ski is a very rewarding and exciting experience, and remember you only do it once! This lesson for beginners, includes a safety brief, introduction to the ski equipment, learning effective warm up techniques, what stance to have when skiiing, how to stop and how to get up if you fall over. You won't be using the ski lift on this course so you will have to side-step up the slope but this will help you gain more confidence in your skis. Then you will descend a short distance so you can practice active balance exercises. Don't worry if you fall over, you're instructor will teach you the quickest and easiest way of getting back up to your feet.

You may be asked to arrive up to half an hour before your appointed lesson time to give you time to collect your equipment and get changed. Then you will have an initial safety briefing and you're off to the slopes. This experience is for all levels and abilities so what you will cover during your lesson may differ slightly at each location. After one hour there may be a very short break off the slope to allow different students to join you for the second session.

This experience is available on selected Monday to Sunday dates, throughout the year.

Your session will last for approximately 1½ to 2 hours, but allow extra time to get your equipment.

You need to be aged between 8 and 15 years.
You will need to have general fitness to be able to participate in this activity. This activity is not suitable if you are pregnant, have a bad back or a heart condition.
This experience is for all levels and abilities, however please make it clear on booking what level you feel you are at.

There'll be a maximum of 9 other people in your group.

You're welcome to bring family and friends along to watch you take to the slopes.

Don't worry, this activity is not dependent on weather conditions
