The National Space Centre is a multi award winning museum and upon arrival you will understand why this really is a visit that is out of this world. Take a journey through the six hands-on galleries, stopping at over 150 interactive experiences, then travel in the glass lifts through three floors in the 42m high Rocket Tower. Sit back in awe in the UK's largest planetarium; the Space Theatre, as you're taken on a voyage of discovery in the 360° fulldome experience. The National Space Centre is an all weather attraction for all the family bringing you hours of breathtaking discovery and interactive fun.

At the National Space Centre there are plenty of things for you to see and get stuck into including: Into Space, find out if you have what it takes to become an astronaut; Orbiting Earth, where you can learn how we predict the weather, communicate with each other and navigate our globe; The Planets, learn the magic and fiction of the planets and see a rare piece of moon rock; Exploring the Universe, discover black holes, the search for intelligent life and see the Hubble and find yourself in awe of the Universe's exotica; Space Now, learn about the UK's involvement in space exploration and get all those puzzling questions you have answered; Tranquility Base, travel to the year 2025 and join the crew at a futuristic lunar base where you need to test your mental and physical ability to find out if you can survive in deep space. Please note that your voucher is not valid on Premium Event weekends, of which there are approximately three per year. Please contact the National Space Centre in advance to find out when these are.

This centre is open Tuesday to Sunday during term time and Monday to Sunday during school holidays, throughout the year.

You can stay for as long as you wish during opening hours.

Children must be aged between 5 and 16 years and must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5s are free.
There will be some walking involved around the museum.
There are no qualifications required.
